The M3U to Enigma2 Converter is a specialized migration utility for satellite and cable receiver enthusiasts. It transforms standard IPTV playlists into the structured 'Bouquet' format required by Enigma2-based Linux receivers like Dreambox, Zgemma, and Vu+, allowing for seamless channel integration without secondary apps.
Native Enigma2 bouquets offer the best user experience on Linux receivers. Unlike standalone IPTV players, bouquets integrate directly into your receiver's EPG and channel zap list. This allows you to switch between satellite and IPTV channels as if they were coming from a single source.
Our converter ensures that your stream URLs are correctly escaped and categorized into the 'User Bouquet' format, preventing the common 'Service Not Found' errors associated with manual editing.
Once you generate your file (usually named `userbouquet.favourites.tv`), the installation follows a standard professional workflow:
1. **Upload via FTP**: Use a tool like FileZilla to move the file to `/etc/enigma2` on your receiver.
2. **Update 'bouquets.tv'**: Add a reference to your new file in the main `bouquets.tv` list.
3. **Reload Settings**: Use a web interface (OpenWebif) or a command like `wget -qO - http://127.0.0.1/web/servicelistreload?mode=0` to refresh the channel list.
Our engine automatically handles the `#SERVICE 4097` and `#SERVICE 1` prefixes. Use 4097 for standard hardware-accelerated GStreamer playback, or 1 if you are using an internal DVB-compatible stream proxy.

We use the 4097 service type by default, which utilizes the GStreamer engine. This is the most compatible mode for software-decoded IPTV streams on Enigma2 hardware.
Yes, provided your receiver supports 4K (HEVC) playback. The converter simply maps the URL; the playback capability depends on your receiver's hardware and installed image.
There is no hard limit from the converter, but extremely large bouquets (thousands of channels) might slow down the channel switching/zapping experience on older receivers.
Service 4097 uses the receiver's software player (GStreamer), which is generally better for HLS/M3U8 streams. Service 1 is for native DVB streams. If your channels are stuttering, try switching the service type in the advanced options.
Most IPTV providers give you a 'Long Link' or an 'M3U URL'. You can download the file from that URL or paste its contents directly into our converter.
